What You Can Expect

Getting Started
We will respond to all service inquiries within 1 business day. Depending on the needs, caregivers may be in place within a few days to a week’s time frame. If service is required in a community that we have not yet serviced, we will recruit a care team sourced locally to meet your needs, which may take more time.

No Fee Consultation
We will meet with you for a no cost consultation in our office or your home to discuss your needs, wants, fears, and hopes. There is no obligation, no strings attached. We are here to help!

Needs Assessment
Should you decide to engage our services, we will conduct a Needs Assessment in your home to create your customized care plan.

The Needs Assessment will include meeting with our Care Coordinator to determine what you and your family needs to provide you with peace of mind, allowing you the choice to keep your autonomy or simply receive some support in dealing with your current situation. We will find out what your likes and dislikes are and determine the details of your care plan. To quote Atul Gawande from his book Being Mortal, we want to “expand people’s choices in life, in the name of living a worthwhile life.”

Personal Caregiver Team
We will then create your personal caregiver team, specifically matched to your needs. They will be qualified to meet your needs, provide you with continuity of care, and will communicate with you clearly and frequently through daily reporting.

Qualified Personnel
All of our caregivers have criminal record and adult abuse registry clearance. We also ensure that they have a valid driver’s license and current first aid certification. For more involved care services, we provide a certified health care aid to assist with activities of daily living. All of our caregivers also receive monthly training on specific areas of care.

Length of Care
We provide care for 1 hour to 24 hours per day including overnight and weekends. Our minimums are one 3 hour shift OR two 2 hour shifts per week. In homes where care is required on a daily basis, we have a 1 hour minimum.

Ongoing Support
We provide continued care through the journey. Whether that is beginning with just a few hours, to walking alongside as more supports are required for the activities of daily living. Our goal is to find out what a good day will look like as we bring hope and joy to your home.

And most importantly, we will continue to care for you, communicate with you, and connect you with a fantastic group of people who care.

Stay Connected

Caregivers keep you informed on your loved one’s status after they’ve provided care, making sure you are kept up to date when you can’t be there.

Costs & Funding Options

Affordablity is always our priority, whether the services are paid for directly by the family or funded through other options. We are flexible in the number of hours we provide, whether that is for a short-term or long-term arrangement, all at a flat rate. Keep in mind, our services are tax deductible.

Affordable Care
Affordablity is always our priority, whether the services are paid for directly by the family or funded through one of the options listed below. In fact, our services may be fully covered by one of the options listed below and they are not based on income. Whatever the case, we will always treat you like family and care for your family as if it were our own.

Self and Family Managed Care
This is a government-funded program that allows families to manage their own home care. This allows the family to make their own choices regarding their care with much greater flexibility. The Regional Health Authority case coordinator assesses the home care needs to determine the amount of funded hours you are eligible for. We help make this process easier by guiding you through the application process and providing you with the necessary reporting to be submitted.
